Cut from durable cotton twill with a 5-inch inseam, the shorts feature a contrast red ribbon stripe running down each side and two front pockets. A hand-stenciled No. 2 graphic, borrowed from traditional boat-racing numerals, gives the piece the character of vintage competition wear.

All measurements are in centimetres (cm) and refer to the garment, not body measurements. The same size chart applies to men and women.

Understanding the waist measurement

The waist measurement is half the waistband circumference, measured across the front from side to side with the shorts laid flat and the elastic relaxed.

For example, size S measures 34 cm across the waistband, which equals approximately 68 cm around the garment’s waistband without stretching. This is a garment measurement, not a recommended body waist size. The elastic allows the waistband to stretch.

Choosing your size

For the most accurate fit, compare these measurements with a pair of shorts that fits you well. Lay them flat and measure without stretching the waistband.

Men: Compare the relaxed waistband width, rise and length with your preferred shorts. If you are between sizes and prefer extra room through the seat and thighs, choose the larger size.

Women: Compare the relaxed waistband width and check the fit through the hips and thighs. Consider where you prefer the waistband to sit. If you are between sizes and want a roomier fit, choose the larger size while checking that the waistband will fit comfortably.

Measurement definitions

• ½ waist (flat, relaxed): Width across the waistband from side to side, without stretching. Double this measurement for the relaxed waistband circumference.
• Leg opening: Width across one leg opening with the shorts laid flat.
• Outseam: Length from the top of the waistband to the hem along the outer side.
• Front rise: From the top of the front waistband to the crotch along the seam.
• Back rise: From the top of the back waistband to the crotch along the seam.

Measurement tolerance: ±2 cm.
